Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, met with Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta, during the “Investopia Global – Alberta” forum in Calgary, Canada. The meeting focused on strengthening economic and investment ties between the UAE and Alberta, emphasizing collaboration in new economy sectors including clean energy, digital technologies, space, tourism, and advanced manufacturing.

Focus On Emerging Sectors

Both leaders discussed the UAE’s interest in expanding partnerships in innovative and sustainable industries. Clean energy, food security, tourism, digital technologies, and space exploration were identified as priority areas for collaboration. Advanced manufacturing and other high-tech sectors were also highlighted as areas where joint investment and knowledge exchange could bring mutual benefits.

Boosting Bilateral Investment Flows

The discussions explored ways to increase bilateral investment flows between the UAE and Alberta. Leaders emphasized creating new channels for cooperation between business communities in both regions.
