UAE Launches 2026 Best Practices in Logistics Sector Award

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has officially announced the third edition of the Best Practices in Logistics Sector Award for 2026. This award is part of the UAE’s continuous efforts to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the logistics sector, ensuring it meets both regional and global standards.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to promoting excellence, innovation, and operational efficiency in one of the country’s most critical industries.

Promoting Innovation and Excellence

The award seeks to recognize the best practices and innovative projects implemented across all logistics activities in the past twelve months. By highlighting outstanding achievements, it encourages companies to adopt innovative approaches, improve services, and raise operational standards.

Through this recognition, the Ministry aims to foster a culture of healthy competition, continuous improvement, and excellence, making the UAE a global benchmark for logistics performance.

Comprehensive Coverage Across Activities

The Best Practices in Logistics Sector Award covers a wide range of logistics operations. These include warehouses and storage, shipping line and vessel agents, air, sea, and land transport, customs clearance, ports and free zones, ground handling, and cargo agents.

By including all key aspects of the logistics chain, the award ensures that excellence is recognized across the entire sector, motivating organizations to improve every stage of their operations.

Transparent Evaluation by Experts

An independent judging committee consisting of specialists and experts from the logistics industry will evaluate all applications. This ensures a transparent, credible, and fair assessment process, where winners are chosen based on merit and innovation.

The committee will assess submissions using clear criteria, such as efficiency, operational excellence, innovation, and contribution to sector competitiveness, making the award highly prestigious in the UAE logistics industry.

Boosting Regional and Global Competitiveness

The launch of this award reinforces the UAE’s position as a regional and global leader in logistics. By recognizing high-performing companies, it motivates the adoption of world-class practices that improve operational standards and overall sector performance.

Winning companies benefit from enhanced credibility, market recognition, and potential opportunities for investment and partnerships, strengthening the UAE logistics sector as a whole.

The award also aligns with the UAE’s long-term vision for sustainable development and economic diversification. By promoting efficiency and innovation, it contributes to improved supply chains, enhanced trade facilitation, and a more competitive business environment.

The Ministry continues to support the logistics sector through encouragement of innovation, collaboration, and adherence to international standards, ensuring the UAE remains a global hub for logistics excellence.
