His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, took part in the 49th emergency meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, held in Qatar.

The meeting included foreign ministers from all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the GCC Secretary-General, Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi. They gathered to talk about the recent Iranian attack on Qatar.

During the meeting, Gulf countries showed strong unity and support for Qatar, stressing that Qatar’s security is deeply connected to the overall security of the Gulf region.

Sheikh Abdullah strongly condemned the Iranian attack, calling it a clear violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, and a breach of international laws and the UN Charter.

He expressed the UAE’s full support for Qatar and praised how Qatar handled the situation calmly and professionally to keep its people safe. He also applauded Qatar’s restraint and wise approach in responding to the attack.

Sheikh Abdullah said this meeting shows the strong bond and unity among GCC countries in facing any threats. He emphasized that the Gulf countries will stand together to protect their sovereignty and continue building a secure and prosperous future for their people.

He additionally highlighted that the greatest approach to resolving regional conflicts and establishing peace and stability in the area and the global community is via communication and diplomacy.
