UAE Eid Al Adha Weather: Hot, Humid & Chance of Rain Ahead

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

As UAE residents get ready for the four-day Eid Al Adha break from Thursday, June 5, to Sunday, June 8, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has shared the weather forecast. The long weekend is expected to bring hot weather, some clouds, high humidity, and even chances of rain in some areas. If you’re planning to be outdoors, it’s a good idea to prepare ahead.

Thursday, June 5: Sunny but Windy and Dusty in Some Places

The holiday begins with mostly sunny weather. However, places like Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah may see some clouds. Winds will blow from the northwest at 10–25 km/h, with stronger gusts reaching up to 40 km/h, which could cause dust in open areas. It’s best to keep windows closed during the afternoon. The Arabian Gulf may be slightly rough, but the Oman Sea will be calmer, so beach trips are generally okay.

Friday, June 6: Humidity Rises Near the Coast

Friday’s weather will be similar, with clouds in the north and east. If you live near the coast, expect more humidity, especially at night and early Saturday. Winds will change direction and slow down slightly. The sea will be calmer, making Friday a good day for beach and water fun.

Saturday & Sunday, June 7–8: Rain Chances and Temperature Rise

The weekend will continue with fair weather, but there is a chance of light rain in some areas like Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Sharjah, and parts of Dubai.
Clouds could form in these places during the day, and some light showers may happen. Winds will shift from the southeast and northeast at speeds of 10–25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h at times.

Temperatures will go up, especially inland, with highs up to 48°C. Coastal areas may feel extra humid, with levels reaching up to 80%, especially at night and early morning.

Tips for Enjoying the Long Weekend Outdoors:

  • The best time to go outside is in the morning or evening, when it’s not too hot.
  • Beach trips are safe, especially on Friday and Saturday when the sea is calm.
  • Wear light and breathable clothes like cotton or linen.
  • Don’t forget an umbrella, cap, or sunscreen for sun protection—and maybe for a surprise shower!
