The 15th round of the 32nd edition of the UAE President’s Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses is set to take place at the Gezira Equestrian Club in Cairo, Egypt. This noteworthy event illustrates the longstanding friendship and cultural heritage shared between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. It also emphasizes both nations’ commitment to honoring and sustaining the distinguished Arabian horse breed.
More than just a competitive race, the event symbolizes the historical and cultural bonds between these two nations. The UAE’s ongoing support for equestrian events in Egypt reflects its dedication to preserving this unique aspect of Arab culture through sports diplomacy.
The Egyptian round will feature an exhilarating lineup of seven races, with 59 distinguished horses coming from various esteemed stables across the nation. This strong turnout highlights the enthusiasm of Egyptian breeders and owners who actively support this annual event. The featured race will cover a distance of 1600 meters, showcasing top-tier Purebred Arabian horses like Bareeq Al Amal, Monadel Saafan, Fahd Al Ameen, Deban Al Tahawia, Rawi, and Al Mashhoor.
Additionally, there will be six more races sponsored by prestigious UAE organizations including Mubadala, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. These races will cover different categories for fillies and colts, highlighting the rich talent within Egypt’s Arabian horse racing sector.
Musallam Al Amri, a member of the Higher Organising Committee, voiced that hosting the 15th round in Egypt signifies the UAE’s profound respect for the historical significance of the Arabian horse. He further emphasized that the Cup aims to empower Egyptian breeders, encourage broader participation, and honor the mutual legacy of this noble breed. The UAE President’s Cup Series continues its vital role in preserving the heritage and international acclaim of the Purebred Arabian horse.
