It will take place in Abu Dhabi from 8 to 10 December 2025.
Visit Aims to Prepare for Major Media Event
The main reason for the visit was to learn about the latest technology in media and explore how the UAE can work with leading international tech companies like Huawei. Abdulla Al Hamed was joined by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi, who is the Director-General of the UAE National Media Office. Their goal was to find new ways to use advanced technology in the media industry while keeping human values in mind.
Warm Welcome from Huawei Executives
When the UAE officials arrived in Shanghai, they were welcomed by several top Huawei executives. These included Lv Yang Ming, President of Huawei Cloud Media Service Product Department; Lu Zhen Yu, a media product expert at Huawei; Wharton Huang, Vice President of Government and Enterprise at Huawei Cloud UAE; and Lewis Tan, who leads Strategy and Marketing at Huawei Cloud UAE. These leaders discussed how Huawei is working to improve media services using cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI).
Talks Focused on AI and Digital Media Solutions
The UAE delegation held multiple meetings with Huawei’s leadership team. The main topics were how to use AI in media, how to improve digital broadcasting, and how to benefit from big data and 5G services. Abdulla Al Hamed shared his vision of working together with global technology companies to develop smart media solutions. These solutions should support the Arabic language, promote learning between different cultures, and improve areas like education and digital media platforms.
Importance of Global Media Cooperation
Abdulla Al Hamed talked about the need for strong cooperation between UAE media organizations and international technology developers. He said that smart media solutions can help the Arabic language grow in the digital world. He also explained that sharing knowledge with other countries and companies can help the UAE build better tools for online education and media. This will create better platforms for users, especially in the Arab world.
Tour of Huawei’s R&D Centre
During the visit, the UAE officials toured the Huawei Lianqiu Lake R&D Centre. This centre is known for showing Huawei’s latest inventions in areas like media technology and smart education. The tour gave the UAE delegation a clear view of how Huawei is creating new tools that can be used to improve learning and digital communication.
BRIDGE Summit to Focus on Future of Media
Abdulla Al Hamed also talked about the upcoming BRIDGE 2025 Summit. He said that the summit will be a key event to support responsible cooperation between different media and technology partners. The summit will act like an open lab, where new ideas, business models, and technology partnerships can be tested and developed. It will also be a place where the media industry can show how it helps drive innovation and supports sustainable development goals.
A Platform for Innovation and Partnership
The BRIDGE 2025 Summit is expected to play a big role in shaping the future of media. It will not only focus on journalism or broadcasting but also show how media can support progress in other areas like education, economy, and environment. By working with global companies like Huawei, the UAE hopes to bring new technology to its media sector and become a leader in digital media innovation.
Strengthening Ties with Global Tech Leaders
The visit to Huawei is one of several planned stops before the BRIDGE 2025 Summit. These visits are meant to help the UAE build stronger ties with world-class technology companies. By learning from international leaders in the field of media technology, the UAE can better prepare for the future. These partnerships can bring fresh ideas and tools to help improve media services in the country and the region.
Looking Ahead to BRIDGE 2025 in Abu Dhabi

A Step Toward Smarter Media Future
