He also extended his thanks to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club for hosting the tournament in such a professional manner. He emphasized that clubs and academies are the true foundation of success for jiu-jitsu in the UAE. Their role in training young athletes, preparing them for competitions, and building their confidence is what keeps the sport strong and thriving.

A Key Event in the Sports Calendar

Al Shamsi also highlighted that the Vice President’s Cup is not just another tournament. It is considered one of the most important sporting events of the year in the UAE. He described it as a milestone in the annual sports calendar because of its artistic and community impact. According to him, this year’s edition stood out for the exceptional quality of the matches. Building a Strong Jiu-Jitsu Culture

The UAE has been working hard to promote jiu-jitsu as one of its most important sports. Events like the Vice President’s Cup play a major role in achieving this goal. By bringing together clubs, academies, and players of all ages, the tournament strengthens the community around the sport. It also raises awareness among families and the wider public about the benefits of jiu-jitsu, such as discipline, respect, fitness, and mental strength.

Community and Sportsmanship

Another highlight of the championship was the sense of community and sportsmanship that surrounded it. Even though the competition was fierce, players and coaches respected one another. This spirit of respect is one of the core values of jiu-jitsu, and it was clearly on display during the event. Families, supporters, and fans also played an important role, creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivated the athletes.

As the curtain falls on this year’s Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup, the memories of thrilling matches, strong performances, and proud winners will remain. For the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the success of this tournament is another step in the journey of making the UAE a global leader in the sport.
