Vikram Bhatt Under Investigation in Udaipur for Film Agreement Conflict

Vikram Bhatt Under Investigation in Udaipur for Film Agreement Conflict

Post by : Meena Hassan

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is facing scrutiny in Udaipur following a complaint regarding alleged fraudulent activity connected to a film contract. The claim has been lodged at the Bhupalpura police station and is currently under review.

Dr. Ajay Murdia, the complainant, asserts he entered an agreement with Bhatt's production firm to produce films and documentaries in memory of his deceased spouse. Murdia contends he fulfilled his financial obligations for four projects; however, only two were completed without proper credit. Notably, the most significant project purportedly never commenced.

Authorities are looking into the paperwork and contractual obligations as they determine the next steps.

Vikram Bhatt has vehemently rejected the claims, suggesting that misleading information has been relayed to law enforcement. He pondered how such allegations could persist without substantial documentation. Bhatt also noted that the complainant has continued collaboration with him on various films, casting doubt on the accusations of fraud. He asserts he possesses emails and contracts that vindicate his position.

This controversy arises shortly after the release of Tumko Meri Kasam, the latest project produced by Dr. Murdia. Bhatt, who started his career under Mukul Anand, is recognized for films like Ghulam, Raaz, and the 1920 series.

Authorities continue to probe the matter.
