Yami Gautam Takes on Four New Films Following Haq Triumph

Post by : Meena Hassan

Following the enthusiastic reception of her latest film, Haq, which is inspired by the notable Shah Bano case, actor Yami Gautam Dhar is reveling in her success. The film has garnered widespread acclaim from both audiences and critics alike. As she basks in this positive feedback, Yami has secured four new film projects, though she has chosen to keep the details under wraps, stating, “It’s up to the producers to make the announcements.”

Many fans are advocating for Yami to receive a National Award for her compelling performance in Haq. When approached about this, she responded with a smile, admitting she’s unsure how to react. “I’ve appreciated all the kind messages from my viewers. Their affection is the greatest reward for me,” she remarked.

Yami also shared her perspective on not attending award ceremonies or industry parties. “Of course, networking holds significance in this field. Yet, if it doesn’t resonate with me, I prefer not to engage. My focus remains on my craft while waiting for the right scripts,” she mentioned thoughtfully.

She emphasized that success is not merely about following current trends. “If awards bring you joy, that’s perfectly fine. However, carving your own path while achieving success is also feasible. Nowadays, the audience values authenticity and real talent more than ever before,” Yami articulated.

On the topic of her personal life, Yami spoke of her son Vedavid, who is just a year and a half old. When asked which of her movies she would eventually share with him, she noted, “I’ll decide on that in the future. During my pregnancy while filming Article 370, my mother imparted a beautiful lesson: if you dedicate yourself, your child will grow to appreciate that effort. In a sense, he was part of that project too.”

Haq, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, premiered in theaters on November 7 and continues to be lauded for its impactful narrative and performances.
