Zayn Malik Returns to One Direction as Company Director After 10 Years

Post by : Meena Hassan

In a surprising development, Zayn Malik has reportedly rejoined One Direction nearly a decade after his departure. Recent business filings suggest that the “Pillowtalk” singer has been reinstated as a director at PPM Music Limited, indicating renewed connections with his former bandmates following the tragic death of Liam Payne.

Documents filed with Companies House on November 3, 2025, confirm Zayn Malik’s designation as Active Director of PPM Music Limited. He has also been recognized as a Person with Significant Control (PSC), which grants him considerable influence within the organization.

This update reflects a significant change from Zayn’s past role, which concluded on June 20, 2016, just over a year after he exited the group in 2015.

As of now, Zayn is listed alongside fellow One Direction members—Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan—as co-directors. The filings reveal that all members share the same address registered with Lee and Thompson LLP, a notable London law firm managing Liam Payne’s solo career.

A source close to the situation commented, “This is a monumental moment. While heartbreaking, Liam’s passing has united them. It’s even more tragic as he was the strongest advocate for a reunion.”

The source further stated, “PPM was their original company from when they competed on The X Factor. The name refers to Princess Park Manor, the private complex they lived in after winning. Since Liam’s passing, the remaining members have stayed in touch.”

The remarks reference the untimely death of Liam Payne, who passed away last October at the age of 31 after a fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina. In the wake of his death, the surviving members—Zayn, Harry, Louis, and Niall—came together to honor him, attending his funeral and marking one of the rare occasions they appeared together publicly in recent years.

While the news does not confirm a full musical revival, Zayn Malik’s reappointment as a director of PPM Music Limited signals a significant step toward reconnecting with One Direction. Fans are already buzzing with speculation regarding potential collaborations, projects, or even a complete comeback.
