Air India Express Launches Direct Flights From Bengaluru

Post by : Mumtaaz Qadiri

Air India Express has announced new direct flights from Bengaluru to three Middle East destinations: Jeddah, Riyadh, and Kuwait. The airline aims to strengthen travel links between South India and key cities in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Services to Jeddah will start on October 26, while flights to Riyadh and Kuwait will begin on October 27, 2025.

Convenient Booking Options and Fares

Passengers can book the new flights through the airline’s website, mobile app, or major booking channels. Fares are competitive, with Bengaluru-Riyadh starting at Rs 13,500, Bengaluru-Jeddah at Rs 19,500, and Bengaluru-Kuwait at Rs 13,600. The affordable fares are designed to attract a wide range of travellers including families, business professionals, and pilgrims.

Benefits for Pilgrims and Tourists

The direct flight to Jeddah offers particular convenience for pilgrims travelling for Umrah from Bengaluru. In addition, the routes are expected to boost tourism to Saudi Arabia, allowing Indian travellers to explore cultural and heritage sites while enjoying seamless connections.

Enhanced Connectivity Across India

Air India Express offers connecting services to these new destinations from cities including Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli via Bengaluru. This expansion improves accessibility for residents across southern India.

Part of Bengaluru Hub Growth

The airline’s announcement follows recent expansions from Bengaluru, including flights to Kathmandu, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun. Upcoming services to Bangkok starting October 18 and Jodhpur and Udaipur from November 1 further reinforce Bengaluru as a major hub for Air India Express.

Wide Network of Domestic and International Flights

Air India Express operates over 440 weekly flights from Bengaluru, connecting to 35 domestic cities and seven international destinations. Its extensive network enables convenient travel options for both business and leisure passengers, making the airline a key player in South India’s aviation sector.

Air India Express, a Tata enterprise, operates more than 500 daily flights with a fleet of 115 aircraft, including 75 Boeing 737s and 40 Airbus A320s. The airline’s modern fleet ensures safe, reliable, and efficient travel for passengers across its domestic and international network.

These new direct services are expected to support trade, tourism, and business travel, catering to Indian expatriates, professionals, and families. They also strengthen cultural ties with Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, offering improved accessibility and convenience for passengers from southern India.
