Chad President Meets Global Council for Tolerance Delegation

Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, welcomed Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, along with his delegation, at the Presidential Palace in N’Djamena. The meeting highlighted the commitment of both sides to strengthen cooperation in promoting tolerance, peace, and sustainable development.

Discussion on Cooperation for Peace

During the meeting, the Chadian President and Al Jarwan explored ways to enhance collaboration between Chad and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace. The discussions focused on supporting regional and international efforts to achieve security, stability, and sustainable growth, as well as promoting values that contribute to civil peace across Africa.

Chad Supports Global Tolerance Initiatives

President Déby praised the pioneering role of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace at both international and parliamentary levels. He affirmed Chad’s full support for the Council’s initiatives, recognizing the importance of promoting dialogue and tolerance as pillars for achieving civil peace and development in Africa and globally.

Highlighting UAE’s Role in Africa

The Chadian President also emphasized the strong relationship between Chad and the United Arab Emirates. He commended the UAE’s positive contributions to peace, development, and humanitarian efforts in Africa and around the world, acknowledging the UAE’s influence in supporting initiatives that foster regional stability.

Council President’s Remarks

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan expressed appreciation for President Déby’s efforts to advance prosperity and development in Chad. He reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Chadian national and parliamentary institutions to promote a culture of tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and civic engagement.

Promoting Peace and Stability in Africa

Both parties highlighted the importance of joint initiatives aimed at fostering peace and stability across the continent. The Global Council’s support for African nations, combined with Chad’s proactive approach to governance and development, was recognized as a model for regional collaboration in addressing security and social challenges.

Commitment to Long-term Collaboration

The meeting concluded with mutual commitments to continue dialogue and collaboration between Chad and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace. Both sides emphasized the value of promoting tolerance, peace, and development through education, awareness programs, and partnership initiatives that strengthen regional and international cooperation.
