Ronaldo Shines as Al Nassr Beat Al Wahda 4-2 in Friendly Match

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to prove that age is no barrier, as he scored yet another goal during Al Nassr’s 4-2 win over Al Wahda in a friendly match held at the Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Just weeks after his viral bicycle kick, the Portuguese star found the net again and celebrated with his famous SIUUU roar, delighting fans in the stadium.

The match was played during the Saudi Pro League break, but both teams approached the friendly with strong energy and competitiveness. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a clean right-footed strike into the bottom corner after a smart corner routine. Al Wahda responded quickly, equalising in the 20th minute through Facundo Kruspzky. But Al Nassr regained the lead when Kingsley Coman fired a powerful shot into the top corner in the 30th minute.

Al Wahda fought back once more, making it 2-2 in the 35th minute thanks to Serbian midfielder Dušan Tadić. The teams went into halftime level, but Al Nassr returned stronger in the second half. Haroune Camara scored just 10 minutes after the restart, giving his team a 3-2 lead. The match was sealed when Saad Fahad Al Nasser scored the fourth goal, ending Al Wahda’s hopes and putting Al Nassr comfortably ahead.

The final minutes were calm as Al Nassr controlled the game to secure the 4-2 victory. Although Ronaldo scored, the goal will not count toward his official career tally since it came in a friendly. The superstar currently stands at 954 career goals, just 46 away from reaching the historic 1,000-goal milestone. His last official goal came in late November, when he scored a stunning bicycle kick against Al Khaleej.

Ronaldo also remains Al Nassr’s and the league’s second-highest scorer this season, with 10 goals—just one behind teammate Joao Felix. As the Saudi Pro League prepares to return on 21 December, fans worldwide eagerly wait to see whether CR7 can continue his remarkable form. The legend shows no sign of slowing down, and his march toward 1,000 goals remains one of football’s biggest stories.
