Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has successfully concluded its trade mission to Georgia and Armenia. The mission aimed to strengthen business ties, explore new opportunities, and expand trade and investment between Dubai and the Caucasus region.
During the second leg of the mission in Armenia, Dubai Chamber arranged 301 business-to-business meetings between companies from Dubai and their Armenian counterparts. These meetings provided a platform for participants to discuss potential partnerships and collaboration in diverse sectors.
As part of the mission, Dubai Chamber organised a forum in Yerevan titled ‘Doing Business with Armenia.’ The event was conducted in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, the UAE Embassy in Yerevan, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, Enterprise Armenia, and the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
The forum drew 237 participants, including senior officials, business leaders, and company representatives. The attendees explored avenues for cooperation, discussed joint ventures, and learned about business opportunities in both Dubai and Armenia.
Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, said the mission represents a strategic step to unlock the potential of the Caucasus region for Dubai’s business community. He emphasised Dubai Chamber’s commitment to supporting companies in forming strong international partnerships to drive mutual growth.
Dubai’s non-oil trade with Armenia has grown significantly, rising from AED14.6 billion in 2023 to AED25.7 billion in 2024, an increase of 76%. By June 2025, around 500 Armenian businesses were registered as active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, reflecting the strong trade relationship between both regions.
During the forum, Dubai Chamber highlighted the emirate’s dynamic business environment and competitive advantages. Presentations from Dubai Chambers and Enterprise Armenia outlined opportunities in both markets, showing companies how to expand their international reach.
Dubai Chamber identified key sectors for exports from Dubai to Armenia, including electronic equipment, motor vehicles and parts, beauty products, nickel, and woven fabrics. Promising sectors for Armenian investment by Dubai companies include retail, logistics, hospitality, travel and tourism, food and beverage, ceramics and glass, ICT, and consulting services.
The Dubai delegation included representatives from 16 companies across various sectors, such as automotive, building materials, energy and renewables, food and beverages, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, industrial engineering, chemicals, and shipping and logistics. Their participation underlined Dubai’s diverse economic potential and commitment to international trade expansion.
The trade mission reinforces Dubai’s efforts to enhance economic relations with Armenia. Through meetings, forums, and sector-specific discussions, Dubai Chamber aims to continue building sustainable partnerships, boosting trade, and creating opportunities for companies in both regions to grow and succeed internationally.
