Dubai Chambers held a high-level meeting with H.E. Professor Dr. Hristijan Mickoski, Prime Minister of North Macedonia, to discuss new opportunities for trade and investment. The talks focused on building stronger economic ties between Dubai and North Macedonia.
Delegation Visit To Skopje
The meeting took place in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, during an official visit led by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers. The delegation aimed to boost trade flows, encourage new business partnerships, and explore investment projects.
Strengthening Business Partnerships
Senior government officials, chamber of commerce leaders, and business representatives joined the meeting. Both sides discussed strategies to expand cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, tourism, agriculture, and technology. The visit followed the Prime Minister’s earlier trip to Dubai in April 2025, which helped lay the groundwork for further collaboration.
North Macedonia Highlights Opportunities
Prime Minister Mickoski stressed that Dubai’s business mission opens the door to stronger partnerships. He pointed out that joint projects in trade and investment can lead to sustainable growth in several sectors, benefiting both economies.
Dubai’s Commitment To Global Business
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah stated that Dubai Chambers is committed to strengthening international trade links. He explained that the North Macedonia visit reflects Dubai’s goal of opening new growth corridors, supporting joint ventures, and encouraging investment in key industries.
Business And Export Opportunities
Dubai Chambers highlighted the emirate’s role as a hub for North Macedonian companies looking to expand internationally. Products with high potential for export to Dubai include pharmaceuticals, apparel, bakery goods, preserved vegetables, marble, mineral water, and copper wire.
Growth In Trade Relations
Non-oil trade between Dubai and North Macedonia reached AED 1.8 billion between 2020 and 2024. The number of North Macedonian companies registered in Dubai grew from 9 in 2020 to 56 by mid-2025—an increase of 522%. These companies operate in real estate, trading, construction, education, and service sectors.
Growth Corridors Initiative
The mission was part of Dubai Chambers’ ‘Growth Corridors’ initiative, which seeks to expand Dubai’s global partnerships. The program focuses on building stronger economic links, creating joint ventures, and helping businesses explore new markets with confidence and resilience.
