The Dubai Press Club (DPC), in partnership with Dubai Health, has launched the second phase of the Dubai Content Creators Programme, this time focusing on health and science content. The programme aims to train participants to produce reliable, engaging, and educational health-related media that benefits the public and supports Dubai’s growing role as a global leader in media innovation and social impact.
Strengthening Dubai’s Digital Media Ecosystem
Building on Dubai’s reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation, this initiative provides an integrated training platform for creators to improve their storytelling skills and enhance their digital influence. Participants will receive practical training that emphasizes accuracy, innovation, and responsibility, helping them create impactful content aligned with the UAE’s national priorities and the Dubai Media Council’s vision.
Focus on Simplifying Health Information
The second phase of the programme provides in-depth training on health communication. It guides creators on how to present complex health and scientific information in simple, accessible language. Through workshops and expert sessions, participants will learn to communicate responsibly, use creative storytelling techniques, and effectively engage audiences across multiple digital platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
Leadership’s Vision for Professional Media
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. She said that Dubai continues to invest in nurturing creative talent and positioning media as a driver of social progress. According to her, focusing on health content demonstrates the emirate’s dedication to building a knowledge-based and socially responsible media culture that informs and inspires healthier communities.
Collaboration Between Health and Media Sectors
Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, praised the initiative as a key partnership between the health and media sectors. He said that by combining scientific accuracy with creative storytelling, the programme equips creators to make complex medical topics understandable for all audiences. He added that this collaboration will help create a more informed, health-conscious society through responsible media.
Industry Partners Supporting the Programme
The programme is being delivered in cooperation with major regional and global partners, including TikTok, YouTube, Elwarsha, Dubai Media Academy, MediaCast, Edraak Media Academy, Artificial Intelligence Journalism for Research and Forecasting, Blinx, and The Collective Mind. These partnerships ensure that participants gain exposure to the latest digital tools, trends, and professional standards in media production.
Building Skills and Promoting Innovation
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, expressed her gratitude to the programme’s partners for their contributions. She said that health and science communication require accuracy and professionalism, and this phase of the programme introduces advanced tools and creative strategies to ensure content credibility and quality. The initiative also aims to build creators’ confidence in using new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to design modern and engaging content.
Empowering Youth and Professionals in Health Media
Aimed at young creators, healthcare professionals, and social media influencers, the programme helps participants improve their ability to promote health awareness and education through digital media. Running until 4 November 2025, it includes workshops on storytelling, visual production, impactful writing, digital campaigns, and AI-powered tools. Participants will also learn practical skills like smartphone videography, lighting, editing, and short-form content production for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Continuing the Success of the First Phase
This phase builds on the success of the inaugural Dubai Content Creators Programme, which focused on economic storytelling and was launched in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Economy and leading academic and media institutions. The latest phase expands the initiative’s scope, empowering creators to bridge the gap between health knowledge and public awareness.
Shaping a Healthy and Informed Society
The Dubai Content Creators Programme reflects Dubai’s broader strategy to combine innovation, communication, and public wellbeing. By training content creators to produce trustworthy, accurate, and engaging health information, Dubai is helping shape a more informed society where creative media plays a central role in supporting national health goals and enhancing overall quality of life.
