Dubai Chambers, in partnership with the Government of Estonia and the UAE–Estonia Business Council, hosted the first-ever Dubai–Estonia Business Seminar. The landmark event focused on deepening trade, investment, and innovation cooperation between the two digitally advanced economies.
The seminar was attended by Liisa-Ly Pakosta, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs of Estonia; Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers; and Maria Belovas, Ambassador of Estonia to the UAE. The event provided a platform for dialogue and collaboration across multiple sectors.
Participants discussed enhancing cooperation between companies from Dubai and Estonia in areas including advanced technologies, the digital economy, renewable energy, automotive, agritech, construction, logistics, and maritime industries. The seminar highlighted opportunities for impactful partnerships in these sectors.
Liisa-Ly Pakosta emphasised the importance of collaboration and trust in digital progress. She noted, “The UAE’s determination to embed innovation across every sector mirrors Estonia’s belief that technology strengthens economies and improves lives. Estonian expertise can contribute meaningfully to projects shaping a smarter, connected future.”
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah highlighted Dubai’s strategic advantages, stating, “Dubai’s location, world-class infrastructure, and business-friendly regulations make it an ideal platform for Estonian companies seeking regional expansion. Our growing relationship provides a solid foundation for advancing shared economic goals.”
The number of Estonian companies registered with Dubai Chamber increased by 37 percent year-on-year in 2024. During the first half of 2025, 15 new Estonian companies joined, bringing the total to 95 active members by June, reflecting growing business engagement and interest in Dubai’s market.
Trade relations between Dubai and Estonia continue to strengthen. In 2024, the value of non-oil trade rose by 10 percent to AED542.3 million, compared to AED494.5 million in 2023, indicating steady economic growth and expanding cooperation.
The seminar featured presentations highlighting the strategic advantages of establishing and expanding businesses in both Dubai and Estonia. Attendees gained insights into leveraging mutual expertise and building innovative partnerships that align with the shared vision of economic prosperity.
The Dubai–Estonia Business Seminar reinforced the commitment of both nations to strengthen economic ties. By promoting trade, innovation, and strategic partnerships, the event set the stage for a collaborative and prosperous economic future between Dubai and Estonia.
