Dubai is gearing up for the Al Etihad Parade, a vibrant showcase planned for December 2, marking the 54th Eid Al Etihad. This event is organized by Brand Dubai, part of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in collaboration with the Events Security Committee, as part of the wider "National Month" initiative inspired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
The parade is expected to gather thousands of participants, commencing at Dubai Maritime City at 3:00 pm. The colorful procession will officially start at 4:00 pm along Jumeirah Road, moving from the Union House intersection to the Burj Al Arab intersection. Spanning 90 minutes, it will celebrate the Spirit of the Union through a vibrant display that emphasizes community, culture, and national pride.
Involving over 30 volunteers from the Community Development Authority, the event will see the distribution of 1,000 UAE flags, showcasing Dubai’s commitment to community engagement, reflective of the "Year of the Community".
To ensure safety and respect throughout the event, organizers have outlined comprehensive guidelines. Participants must adhere to established routes and police directives, avoiding unauthorized gatherings or road stunts. Vehicles must comply with safety regulations, ensuring all passengers remain seated, with clear visibility maintained and no obstructions present. Usage of sprays, fireworks, or altered vehicle sounds is forbidden, and vehicles must not exceed seating limits or allow any part of the body to extend from windows.
Staying tidy, observing designated pathways, and not obstructing traffic are critical rules. Any infractions may incur strict penalties under Decree No. (30), with fines ranging from AED 10,000 to AED 100,000, vehicle impoundment for over 90 days, and points against licenses.
Police will oversee the route to ensure smooth traffic and public safety. The community is invited to partake responsibly in this celebration while keeping abreast of official updates.
The Al Etihad Parade promises to be a highlight of Dubai’s National Day celebrations, symbolizing unity and the core values propelling the UAE forward.
