Zomato founder and Eternal CEO Deepinder Goyal has shared a new teaser of his upcoming device called Temple, a small tool designed to monitor brain blood flow. He posted a short glimpse of the device on Instagram with the caption “Getting there,” which immediately grabbed attention. Recently, people had noticed Goyal wearing a small golden gadget on his right temple, which created a wave of curiosity online. The new post confirms that the device is indeed part of his latest research project.
Goyal earlier explained on LinkedIn that Temple is an experimental device made to measure brain blood flow accurately and continuously. It was developed while he was working on his Gravity Ageing Hypothesis. Last month, he shared a detailed idea claiming that gravity might play a role in human ageing. He wrote that he was not speaking as a CEO but as a curious human exploring a scientific idea. According to him, gravity could impact lifespan by affecting the brain over time.
Goyal said he connected three scientific points: small drops in blood flow caused by standing upright, the sensitivity of key brain regions like the hypothalamus and brainstem, and how these areas help control ageing. This idea led him to study whether monitoring brain blood flow could help understand ageing better. The Temple device was built as part of this exploration.
Despite debate around the Gravity Ageing Hypothesis, Goyal believes the device itself remains valuable. He said he has been using Temple for a year and feels it could become a major health tool globally. He explained that brain flow tracking is already known as a marker for ageing, cognitive performance, and longevity. So, the device will stay useful even if the gravity theory turns out to be wrong. Goyal also dismissed claims that he created the hypothesis just to promote the device, adding that he would never risk customer trust for a marketing trick.
He said Temple will be a small project compared to Eternal and that his aim is genuine scientific exploration, not sales. The research behind Temple is conducted by Continue Research, a project focused on human existence and ageing. Goyal shared that his team has spent two years studying biology research, ageing science, and ways to slow down the human ageing process. As interest grows, Temple is being seen as a unique attempt to combine health innovation with deep scientific curiosity.
