Greece and Saudi Arabia Expand Industry and Mining Cooperation

Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Stavros Papastavrou, met with visiting Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al Khorayef, to discuss expanding strategic cooperation in the industry and mining sectors. The meeting reflects both countries’ commitment to deepening bilateral ties and promoting mutual investment opportunities.

Focus on Mining Sector Development

During their discussions, the ministers explored ways to develop joint collaboration in the mining sector. They emphasized the importance of creating frameworks that support Greek mining companies interested in investing in Saudi Arabia, aiming to leverage each country’s strengths and resources for shared growth.

Investment Opportunities in Saudi Arabia

A significant part of the meeting focused on potential investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia for Greek companies. Both ministers agreed to encourage initiatives that allow private and public sector entities to participate in mining projects, infrastructure development, and industrial expansion, strengthening economic relations.
