Dubai Airshow Confirms No Israeli Exhibitors for 2025 Edition

Dubai Airshow Confirms No Israeli Exhibitors for 2025 Edition

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the world’s leading aerospace and defense exhibitions, will take place from November 17 to 21 at Dubai World Central. Event organizers have officially confirmed that Israeli companies will not be taking part as exhibitors this year. The announcement follows recent regional developments and speculation regarding Israel’s participation.

During a press conference held on October 7, Timothy Hawes, Managing Director of Informa Markets — the company organizing the event — stated that Israeli firms “won’t be participating” in the upcoming edition. His remarks put an end to earlier reports and online discussions about possible Israeli involvement in the exhibition.

Regional Tensions Influence Decision

The decision comes amid heightened regional tensions following a recent Israeli airstrike in Doha in September. The attack, which reportedly targeted Hamas officials, resulted in several casualties and triggered diplomatic strain between Israel and Gulf nations. This escalation has influenced security and political considerations surrounding major international events in the region, including the Dubai Airshow.

The exclusion of Israeli exhibitors reflects the current geopolitical environment and efforts by event organizers to maintain a neutral and stable setting for global participants. While the airshow has traditionally welcomed exhibitors from a wide range of countries, organizers emphasized that this year’s edition will prioritize safety, inclusivity, and smooth coordination among all participating nations.

Strong Global Participation Expected

Despite the absence of Israeli companies, the Dubai Airshow 2025 remains set for record participation levels. Organizers have confirmed that more than 98 countries will take part, featuring over 1,500 exhibitors and an estimated 148,000 industry professionals. The event will also host 20 country pavilions, highlighting new technologies and partnerships in aviation, defense, and space industries.

According to the organizers, the defense sector will represent nearly half of the exhibition space, accounting for about 40–50 percent of the total area. This demonstrates continued global interest in the airshow as a key platform for defense innovation, collaboration, and trade.

Exciting Flying Displays and New Performances

The Dubai Airshow 2025 will also feature an impressive flying display lineup, showcasing six international aerobatic teams. A total of 16 aircraft from Europe, Africa, and Asia will perform during the show. Among them are debut performances by teams from Morocco, South Korea, and India, reflecting the expanding international reach of the event.

These aerial displays are expected to be a major highlight, attracting aviation enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. They will showcase technological excellence, flight precision, and national pride, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.

Focus on Innovation and Collaboration

The Dubai Airshow continues to serve as a premier platform for global leaders in aerospace, aviation, and defense industries to meet and collaborate. This year’s edition will focus on emerging technologies such as sustainable aviation, digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, and unmanned systems.

Industry experts will also discuss challenges and opportunities shaping the future of global aviation. Panels, workshops, and networking sessions are expected to promote partnerships and investment opportunities within the sector.

While Israeli companies will not be present this year, the event’s international diversity and focus on innovation remain unchanged. The participation of new countries and companies highlights Dubai’s role as a bridge for global cooperation, even amid changing regional dynamics.

As geopolitical developments continue to influence international relations, questions remain about future participation from Israel in regional trade events. Organizers have expressed confidence that the Dubai Airshow will continue to adapt and thrive, maintaining its reputation as a neutral and inclusive platform for global dialogue in the aviation and defense industries.

The Dubai Airshow 2025 is expected to set new benchmarks in terms of attendance, innovation, and global engagement, reaffirming the UAE’s position as a leading destination for aerospace collaboration and advancement.
