Manchester City Posts Strong Revenue in 2024-25 Report

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Manchester City has released its 2024–25 Annual Report, confirming revenues of £694.1 million. This was the third-highest revenue total in the club’s history. Despite strong income, the club reported a small loss of £9.9 million for the season.

On the field, City finished third in the Premier League and qualified for the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season. However, the club failed to win a trophy for the first time in eight years. Injuries to key players played a major role in the disappointing results.

The club continued to invest in its squad during the season. New players joined to strengthen the team, while Erling Haaland signed a long-term contract, committing his future to the club. This move showed confidence in City’s long-term vision and stability.

There were important changes off the pitch as well. Long-serving football director Txiki Begiristain left after 13 successful years. Hugo Viana took over the role to ensure a smooth transition. Club legend Kevin De Bruyne also departed after spending 10 years at City.

The report highlighted major progress in infrastructure and community work. Development continued on the £300 million North Stand project and a new hotel partnership. Rodri became the first City player to win the Ballon d’Or. The club’s academy, women’s football centre, charity programmes and global social media growth all showed strong progress, underlining the long-term strength of Manchester City.
