PM Modi Wishes Congress Leader Sonia Gandhi on Her Birthday

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday sent warm birthday wishes to Sonia Gandhi, the senior leader of the Congress Party in Parliament. In a post on X, he said, "Birthday greetings to Sonia Gandhi Ji. May she be blessed with a long life and good health."

Sonia Gandhi was born on December 9, 1946, and has played a key role in Indian politics for decades. She served as the longest-serving president of the Congress Party for nearly twenty years. Under her leadership, the 139-year-old party went through many important changes and strengthened its position in national politics.

In 2017, Sonia Gandhi handed over the leadership of the Congress Party to her son, Rahul Gandhi, continuing the family's active involvement in Indian public life. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her political experience, strategic guidance, and commitment to the party and the country.

PM Modi’s message highlights the tradition of leaders expressing respect across party lines, wishing her continued strength and success in her ongoing public and political engagements. Sonia Gandhi remains a prominent figure in Indian politics, influencing both the party and national decision-making.

Her birthday celebrations are marked by greetings from leaders, party members, and supporters, acknowledging her years of service and contribution to Indian politics. Through these wishes, the importance of collaboration and respect in political life is also emphasized.
