Oman Skeet Team Wins Third Place At Arab Championship

Oman’s national skeet shooting team secured third place at the Arab Championship, held at the Royal Shooting Club in Tangier, Morocco. The championship, running from 20 to 27 September, saw participation from eight Arab countries. The team’s strong performance highlighted Oman’s growing presence in competitive shooting at the regional level.

The national team in the skeet competition included international shooters Naghmoush Al Hatali, Mohammed Al Gharibi, Yasser Al Nassri, and female shooter Najat Al Nofali. Their skill and precision helped Oman clinch the bronze medal, bringing pride to the country and recognition among the participating Arab nations.

Upcoming Trap Shooting Events

The trap shooting competitions are scheduled to start on Thursday and will continue until 27 September. Oman’s team in the trap events will feature international shooters Ramah Al Siyabi, Batti Al Shebli, Sakhar Al Toubi, and Said Al Khatri. Officials and sports fans are hopeful that the team will continue to perform strongly in the upcoming events.

Significance of Regional Competitions

Arab-level championships provide a platform for athletes to test their skills, gain experience, and foster sportsmanship among countries in the region. Oman’s performance in skeet shooting demonstrates its dedication to training and supporting talented shooters for international competitions.

With the trap events approaching, the focus will shift to maintaining discipline and precision under pressure. The shooters’ preparation and past experience are expected to play a key role in determining Oman’s success in the remainder of the championship. The country’s sporting authorities are supporting the team to achieve strong results across all events.
