Oman Promotes Tourism at World Travel Market 2025 in London

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the World Travel Market (WTM) London, one of the most significant global tourism events, scheduled from 4th to 6th November 2025. This participation highlights Oman’s continuous efforts to promote its tourism potential on an international platform and strengthen its global tourism connections.

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism leads Oman’s delegation at the event, reaffirming its commitment to positioning the country as a top tourist destination in the region. Through this participation, the Ministry aims to showcase the country's natural beauty, historical heritage, and cultural diversity, emphasizing Oman’s appeal to a wide range of global travelers and investors.

Oman’s pavilion at the World Travel Market features an immersive representation of the nation’s tourism assets. Visitors can explore a blend of pristine natural landscapes, mountain adventures, desert experiences, and coastal beauty. The pavilion also highlights Oman's deep-rooted heritage, ancient forts, traditional crafts, and cultural traditions that make it a unique travel destination.

Oman’s participation is strengthened by the presence of leading national tourism partners. These include major organizations such as OMRAN Group, Oman Air, Oman Airports, the National Museum, the Oman Across Ages Museum, and the Royal Opera House. Additionally, 29 tourism institutions are participating, including hotels, travel agencies, and tour operators, offering a comprehensive picture of the country’s growing tourism ecosystem.

The event serves as a gateway for Oman to attract quality tourism investments and establish strategic global partnerships. The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism aims to use this opportunity to present new development projects, enhance cooperation with international travel organizations, and explore innovative tourism models. These efforts are expected to increase the tourism sector’s contribution to Oman’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

During the World Travel Market, Oman plans to unveil several new tourism initiatives and projects. These include developments in cultural tourism, adventure tourism, and eco-tourism. Such projects will provide visitors with a deeper insight into Oman’s diverse tourism experiences, promoting sustainable travel and community engagement.

Oman’s active involvement in the WTM reflects its vision to strengthen its position in the global tourism industry. With participation from 185 countries and an expected 50,000 visitors, the event offers Oman an excellent opportunity to engage with global tourism leaders, investors, and media representatives. This interaction is expected to boost Oman’s visibility and competitiveness in international markets.

Through this international exposure, Oman aims to further enhance its tourism offerings, improve infrastructure, and adopt global best practices. The event provides a vital platform for discussing innovation in hospitality, sustainable tourism, and destination management, aligning with Oman’s Vision 2040 goals for economic diversification and environmental sustainability.

The Ministry’s efforts at the World Travel Market align with its broader national strategy to promote sustainable and responsible tourism. By encouraging investment in eco-friendly and culturally respectful projects, Oman continues to position itself as a model destination that balances development with heritage preservation and natural conservation.

Oman’s participation in the World Travel Market London 2025 underscores its determination to enhance global recognition, strengthen international partnerships, and promote its rich and diverse tourism landscape. The event not only provides Oman with a platform to showcase its strengths but also to shape the future of tourism through innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration.
