Oman and Tunisia Discuss Stronger Economic and Trade Cooperation

President Kais Saied of Tunisia met Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, at the Carthage Palace in Tunis. The Minister is visiting Tunisia to take part in the Omani-Tunisian Economic Forum, which aims to boost cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, the Minister delivered the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and wished the Tunisian President good health and success. His Majesty also sent his best wishes to the people of Tunisia for continued progress and prosperity.

President Kais Saied expressed his appreciation and asked the Minister to convey his warm greetings to His Majesty the Sultan. He also wished the Omani people more growth and development. Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening the economic partnership between Oman and Tunisia in various fields. They discussed activating joint initiatives that support trade exchange, expand investment opportunities, and encourage deeper economic cooperation between the two nations.

The talks also focused on boosting investment partnerships, improving industrial collaboration, and exploring new areas of trade growth. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hilal Abdullah Al Sinani, Oman’s Ambassador to Tunisia, and Rashid Amer Al Muselhi, First Deputy Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Board. The discussions reflect the shared interest of both countries in building a stronger and more productive relationship that supports long-term regional development and mutual benefits for both sides.
