Sheikha Latifa Wins Prestigious Diamond Award in Spain

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has been awarded the prestigious Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture by the Asociación Española del Lujo (Luxury Spain). She is the only woman from the Arab region among this year’s honourees, celebrated for her vision, leadership, and commitment to advancing culture as a foundation for human progress.

The award ceremony took place at Madrid’s Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, where Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, received the honour on behalf of Her Highness. The Diamond Award is the highest distinction conferred annually by the Asociación Española del Lujo, recognizing individuals who leave a lasting cultural legacy and inspire innovation across the globe.

This year’s International Luxury Awards – Diamonds of Excellence brought together 25 distinguished leaders, including Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, along with representatives from the United Nations, Elie Saab, Mobile World Congress, the World Economic Forum, Chopard, and the Kering Group.

Founded in 2010, the Asociación Española del Lujo promotes excellence across gastronomy, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and tourism. The Diamond Award celebrates exceptional figures worldwide who demonstrate creativity, cultural influence, and a dedication to humanistic values, highlighting Her Highness Sheikha Latifa’s pivotal role in shaping Dubai’s cultural landscape.
