Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a significant move, the UAE Cabinet, presided over by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has sanctioned 3,567 housing plans for Emirati citizens for the year 2025. This initiative marks a historic allocation under the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, with a total commitment of AED2.546 billion aimed at ensuring sustainable housing solutions for families across the nation.

Official data reveals that the provisions for 2025 encompass a variety of grants, loans, and financing pathways tailored to meet the distinctive needs of citizens. Of this total, AED356.3 million will fund 524 grants authorized by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Furthermore, the plan includes 623 government housing loans amounting to AED270.2 million and 32 housing grants valued at AED25.4 million throughout the year. The majority of the funding is allocated to 2,388 housing financing decisions, totaling AED1.894 billion.

The last quarter of the year witnessed an impressive approval of 599 housing decisions worth AED478 million. This includes two benevolent grants from the President amounting to AED1.3 million, 31 government loans valued at AED25.2 million, and eight grants and benefits totaling AED6.4 million. The quarter was primarily driven by 558 housing financing approvals at a value of AED445.1 million.

This ongoing expansion of housing support underscores the UAE’s commitment to elevating living conditions for Emirati families, ensuring their access to reliable housing and fostering stable community growth.
