Dubai Hosts 27th WETEX Exhibition Showcasing Green Energy

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will host the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX). The event will take place from 30th September to 2nd October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The exhibition aims to bring together companies, experts, decision-makers, and investors to display the latest technologies that support clean and renewable energy, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. WETEX is a leading platform for sharing knowledge, encouraging innovation, and promoting sustainability.

Focus On Clean And Renewable Energy

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, highlighted that the exhibition strengthens global cooperation in sustainability. He noted that WETEX supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and National Hydrogen Strategy 2050. According to Al Tayer, clean energy will make up 36 percent of the UAE's energy mix by 2030, emphasizing the country’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental responsibility.

WETEX 2025 will feature principal and strategic sponsors including Masdar, TAQA, ENOC, Siemens Energy, ACWA Power, Hitachi Energy, Hyundai Electric, SUNTEN, Larsen & Toubro, Etihad Water and Electricity, SEL, and Khansaheb Sustainability. The exhibition will also host international pavilions from France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, and Canada, creating a global platform for showcasing innovative energy solutions.

Key Projects Highlighted

The exhibition will feature major projects such as the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, DEWA’s flagship clean energy initiative. Additionally, the Green Hydrogen project, the first in the Middle East and North Africa to produce hydrogen using solar energy, will be highlighted. These projects demonstrate the UAE’s leadership in renewable energy and its dedication to sustainable technologies.

Innovative Technologies On Display

International participants at WETEX 2025 will present innovative solutions in renewable energy, green hydrogen, storage systems, water desalination, and digital energy technologies. Companies like Sigma Energy will demonstrate wave energy devices, while Ecolibri, Derun Energy, and others will showcase solar, wind, and storage solutions, providing attendees with the latest advancements in the field.
