Police Operation in Kelantan Leads to Woman's Arrest and Firearms Discovery

Post by : Shakul

In a significant law enforcement action in Kelantan, Malaysia, authorities arrested a woman and confiscated five firearms during a raid aimed at curbing illegal wildlife activities. The operation occurred in Kampung Miak, Kuala Krai, backed by intelligence reports of illicit behavior.

Conducted under Ops Bersepadu Khazanah, the joint operation involved the Royal Malaysia Police, the Kelantan Forestry Department, and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. This collaborative effort targets wildlife crimes and associated illegal activities.

Southeast Brigade General Operations Force Commander Ahmad Radzi Hussain reported that enforcement officials entered the premises around 6:45pm, identifying themselves and displaying their official authority cards before inspecting the residence.

During the search, officers uncovered five different types of firearms. The discovery intensified worries concerning the suspected illegal wildlife operations currently under investigation.

The woman was taken into custody to assist with inquiries related to violations of the Firearms Act. Authorities have not released details regarding her identity or connections to potential wildlife trafficking rings.

All items seized are now at the Gua Musang district police headquarters for further analysis and legal follow-up. The investigation will continue to unveil the complete scope of the alleged activities.

This initiative underscores the Malaysian government's ongoing commitment to combating illegal wildlife trade and preserving natural resources through synchronized law enforcement efforts.
