BTS Set to Embark on Grand 79-Show World Tour After Extended Hiatus

Post by : Meena Hassan

The celebrated K-pop group BTS has officially revealed a grand world tour consisting of 79 shows, marking their much-awaited return to live performances following a four-year absence. Fans across the globe have been buzzing with anticipation as the announcement signifies the group's full comeback and a new chapter in their journey.

Launching with three consecutive performances at Goyang Stadium in South Korea starting April 9, 2026, BTS will then embark on a worldwide journey spanning Asia, Europe, and North America. Major cities set to host the tour include London, Tokyo, Munich, Sydney, and Los Angeles, highlighting the vast reach and ambition of this comeback. With nearly 80 shows planned, this could be one of the most talked-about tours of the year.

This tour will signify BTS's first performances outside South Korea and the US since 2019. Their previous tour was a monumental success, shattering records for K-pop artists and grossing around $246 million globally. During that tour, BTS made history as the first Korean group to headline London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, establishing their status as global icons.

The forthcoming concerts will employ a 360-degree stage design, allowing fans to enjoy the performance from all angles. This arrangement is set to increase seating capacity, giving more fans the opportunity to attend. In the UK, BTS will perform two nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on July 6 and 7, while additional stops in Europe will include Paris, Madrid, Brussels, and Munich.

The band has hinted at the possibility of adding more dates for Japan, the Middle East, and other areas in 2027. Tickets for fan club members will go on sale on January 22, with general sales starting two days later. Industry estimates predict the tour could rake in over $1 billion from concerts, merchandise, and music sales, showcasing BTS's unparalleled global influence.
