Aditya Dhar’s electrifying spy thriller, Dhurandhar, continues to thrive at the box office despite a minor dip in earnings on its third Friday. Although it recorded its lowest single-day collection to date, the film's overall performance showcases an exceptional grip on audience interest.
On Day 15, Dhurandhar garnered ₹22.50 crore net in India, bringing its global gross for that day to approximately ₹35 crore. These insights indicate a steadfast enthusiasm from viewers as the film confidently ventures into its third weekend.
Following two weeks of monumental success, the Ranveer Singh-starring film has now amassed ₹483 crore net at the domestic box office, translating to about ₹579.50 crore gross in India. With the weekend expected to boost attendance, it appears poised to surpass the ₹500 crore net threshold—an achievement accomplished by a select few Hindi films.
Industry experts highlight that the film’s consistent performance during the weekdays is a clear indication of its robust word-of-mouth and repeat viewership, spanning both multiplexes and traditional cinema halls.
Internationally, Dhurandhar continues to hold its ground despite the introduction of new competition from Hollywood’s Avatar: Fire and Ash. Its overseas earnings have now exceeded $18 million, contributing significantly to its total revenue.
Consequently, Dhurandhar’s worldwide box office tally stands at an impressive ₹745 crore, positioning it just shy of the ₹800 crore global milestone. A prosperous weekend could enable the film to achieve this landmark as early as its 16th day.
With its recent figures, Dhurandhar secures its status as one of the top 10 highest-grossing Hindi films ever, surpassing numerous major hits. Film analysts anticipate that successful titles like PK, Chhaava, and Stree 2 could soon be outdone if current trends persist.
Given its steady accomplishments, the film is increasingly seen as a strong candidate for entry into the ₹1000 crore worldwide club, potentially ranking as one of the most significant global successes in Indian cinematic history.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a polished spy thriller featuring Ranveer Singh as Hamza, a daring Indian intelligence officer on a perilous undercover mission. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan, all of whose performances have earned widespread acclaim.
