Etihad Airways Celebrates 25+ Awards in 2025 Milestone

Post by : Meena Hassan

In an outstanding 2025, Etihad Airways has achieved over 25 distinguished international awards, underlining its status as a premier airline on the global stage. These accolades encompass safety, customer satisfaction, cabin innovation, catering quality, operational excellence, and cargo services, showcasing the airline's comprehensive achievements during a period of rapid growth and advancement.

A significant highlight of the year was Etihad becoming the fourth airline worldwide—and the first in the Middle East—to receive the prestigious Seven-Star Plus Safety Rating from Airline Ratings, the highest accolade in global aviation safety. It ranked among the world's top five safest full-service carriers.

Etihad further enhanced its global profile at the World Travel Awards Grand Final in Bahrain, earning three top recognitions: World’s Leading Airline Customer Experience, World’s Leading Airline Economy Class, and World’s Leading Airline Lounge – Business Class for its Premium Lounge at Zayed International Airport.

On a regional level, the airline excelled at the Middle East World Travel Awards, winning five major categories, including Leading Airline for Customer Experience and Economy Class, along with accolades for Inflight Entertainment, Business Class Lounge, and Cabin Crew, highlighting the expertise of its frontline personnel.

Continuing its streak of recognition, APEX awarded Etihad Five Star Global Airline status for 2026, while the AirHelp Score 2025 ranked the airline second globally, achieving a remarkable 8.07 out of 10 for punctuality, customer satisfaction, and claims processing. Airline Economics also recognized Etihad Aviation 100 MAE Airline of the Year for 2025.

These accolades come in tandem with significant investments in product and service upgrades. In 2025, Etihad unveiled the Airbus A321LR, which introduces lie-flat seating and premium service on mid-range routes, while its A380 model continues to provide The Residence, the only three-room suite available in commercial aviation.

Based at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, Etihad offers a seamless travel experience supported by award-winning lounges and modern terminal amenities. Additional acknowledgments from Skytrax, Business Traveller Middle East, APEX Future Travel Experience, and The Design Air further affirmed Etihad’s excellence in catering, seat comfort, cabin crew service, and interior aesthetics.

Etihad also garnered several awards for its amenity kits and cabin innovations, including commendations for children’s kits, First Class designs, and enhanced Economy Class comfort products. Its cargo division received similar accolades for its innovative logistics solutions focused on customer needs.

In an official statement, CEO Antonoaldo Neves stated that these awards reflect the dedication, teamwork, and passion of the entire Etihad family, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences at every stage of the journey.
