G&G Composite To Start Advanced Production In Ras Al Khaimah

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

G&G Composite, a well-known Italian company that makes advanced composite and carbon fiber parts, is setting up a new base in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The company is famous for its high-quality work, mainly in the automotive sector, but it also serves other industries. With this move, G&G Composite plans to serve customers not only in the UAE but also across the wider region.

Company Background and Expertise

G&G Composite is a family-owned business with more than 40 years of experience. It creates special parts for cars, including those used in motorsports and expensive hypercars. Their skills are not limited to the automotive sector. They also make products for the maritime industry, defense sector, aerospace field, and luxury interior designs. The company is known for combining quality with advanced technology to meet the needs of demanding industries.

New Facility in Al Hamra Industrial Zone

The new G&G Composite facility will be in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone, which is part of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ). The space they have leased is over 10,000 square feet. This location was chosen after careful consideration of several emirates in the UAE. The company believes Ras Al Khaimah offers unique advantages for its regional growth.

Lease Signing Ceremony

The official lease signing took place at the Compass Coworking Centre. The event was attended by Stefano Asuni, who is the President, CEO, and Co-founder of G&G Composite, and Ramy Jallad, who is the Group CEO of RAKEZ. Both leaders expressed their optimism about this new partnership and what it could mean for the future of advanced manufacturing in Ras Al Khaimah.

Operations to Start in September

The facility is expected to be fully operational by September. Once it opens, it will focus on producing high-performance composite parts. These parts will be used in a variety of sectors, but the automotive market will remain a key area. With its long experience in the industry, G&G Composite is confident that the new plant will meet high global standards.

Why Ras Al Khaimah Was Chosen

According to Stefano Asuni, Ras Al Khaimah was chosen after exploring different options. He said the emirate stood out because of its location near important industrial hubs and the rapid growth of its automotive sector. Asuni also mentioned that the industrial environment in Ras Al Khaimah allows companies to grow with confidence. The RAKEZ team played an important role by providing smooth and responsive support from the start.

Business-Friendly Environment

Asuni explained that Ras Al Khaimah is not just a place to run operations, but also offers a stable and future-ready environment. This stability matches G&G Composite’s long-term vision. The company wants a base where it can expand steadily without facing unnecessary challenges. Ras Al Khaimah’s setup, according to him, offers exactly that.

RAKEZ’s Perspective on the Deal

Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ, called G&G Composite’s arrival a “strategic milestone” for the emirate. He said it proves that investors have strong confidence in Ras Al Khaimah’s business environment. This confidence comes from its world-class infrastructure, good location, and rules that support business growth.

Benefits to Ras Al Khaimah

Jallad highlighted that G&G Composite brings valuable Italian expertise in making advanced composite materials. These materials are used in high-tech areas like hypercars, defense, and aerospace. Having such a company in Ras Al Khaimah will add to the emirate’s industrial strength and help it move towards becoming a global center for innovation and technology.

Shared Vision for Growth

Both G&G Composite and RAKEZ see this partnership as more than just a business move. They believe it will be a starting point for a new phase of shared growth and industrial integration in the region. By working together, they hope to encourage more high-tech companies to set up in Ras Al Khaimah, further developing its economy and job market.

Strong Future Outlook

The decision by G&G Composite to open in Ras Al Khaimah shows the emirate’s ability to attract top global businesses. With the facility set to open in September, the coming months will be important in setting up operations and hiring skilled workers. The plant’s success could inspire other companies to consider Ras Al Khaimah for their regional base.

Advanced Technology for Multiple Sectors

Although the automotive industry will be the main focus, the facility will also support other sectors that need advanced composite parts. This includes making lightweight and strong materials for boats, aircraft, military equipment, and even luxury home interiors. The flexibility to serve different industries will help the company stay competitive in the region.

Contribution to Local Economy

By setting up in Ras Al Khaimah, G&G Composite will create new jobs and bring in advanced manufacturing skills. Local suppliers and service providers will also benefit from working with an international company of this scale. Over time, this could help raise the standard of industrial capabilities in the emirate.

Strengthening the UAE’s Industrial Image

The UAE has been working to diversify its economy beyond oil, and attracting companies like G&G Composite supports this goal. By promoting high-tech manufacturing, Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE as a whole can build a stronger global reputation in advanced industries. This can lead to more foreign investment and industrial partnerships in the future.

With everything in place for the September launch, the next steps involve setting up the production lines, ensuring quality control systems are ready, and training the workforce. G&G Composite’s leadership is confident that the facility will become a regional leader in producing top-quality composite materials.

G&G Composite’s expansion into Ras Al Khaimah is a big step for both the company and the emirate. The partnership with RAKEZ provides the Italian manufacturer with the infrastructure, location, and support needed for success. For Ras Al Khaimah, it is another step toward becoming a hub for advanced manufacturing and technology in the Middle East.
