In a heartbreaking incident, a 30-year-old Indian woman was discovered dead in Toronto, Canada, in what authorities suspect to be a case of intimate partner violence. Following this tragedy, the Canadian police have issued a nationwide arrest warrant for a 32-year-old man linked to the crime.

Authorities received a report of a missing individual late Friday evening at approximately 10:40 pm in the vicinity of Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West, prompting an immediate investigation.

By early Saturday morning, around 6:30 am, police found the woman deceased inside a residential unit. Her death has since been ruled a homicide, leading to the involvement of the Homicide Unit in the case.

The victim, identified as Himanshi Khurana, was an Indian national. Investigators believe that the suspect, Abdul Ghafoori, had a known relationship with her. Images of both individuals have been released, and the police are urging the community's support in locating the suspect.

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information about Abdul Ghafoori's whereabouts to step forward, emphasizing that public assistance could play a vital role in the investigation.

In response to the incident, the Consulate General of India in Toronto conveyed its shock at the crime, extending heartfelt condolences to Khurana's family. The consulate assured that it is in active communication with local authorities and is providing all necessary support to the grieving family during this challenging time.
