The FBI announced on Thursday that it has increased the reward for information leading to the safe return of Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, to $100,000 from $50,000.
The agency also released new visuals, including photos of a backpack the suspect was seen wearing in video footage, along with an updated description after forensic analysis of a doorbell camera recording.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing a black 25-liter Ozark Trail Hiker Pack.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was first reported missing on February 1 in Arizona. Her disappearance has drawn national attention, with the FBI receiving over 13,000 tips from the public so far.
The Guthrie family, including Savannah and her siblings, have shared multiple videos pleading for their mother’s return. “We believe she is still out there,” Savannah said on Instagram on Tuesday, showing video footage of the suspect at her mother’s home. “Bring her home.”
Authorities continue to urge anyone with information to come forward.
