Nidhhi Agerwal's Mobbing Incident: Authorities Investigate Event Organizers

Nidhhi Agerwal's Mobbing Incident: Authorities Investigate Event Organizers

Post by : Meena Hassan

Authorities have initiated inquiries into the management of the mall and the event organizers following a tumultuous crowd surge involving actor Nidhhi Agerwal during a song launch for her film The Raja Saab. The incident gained traction online as videos depicting the mobbing circulated widely.

The investigation has centered around the lack of necessary event permissions and deficiencies in crowd control and security protocols. Police launched a suo motu case upon seeing the viral footage, even though Agerwal did not wish to lodge a formal complaint, leading officials to pursue their own inquiry.

Initial reports show that the situation deteriorated as Agerwal left the venue, with fans rushing to greet her. When she attempted to interact with a fan, the crowd surged forward, making it difficult for security to create a safe route.

A case has been registered against the mall's management and an event organizer under Sections 223 (disobedience of an order by a public servant) and 292 (public nuisance) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police are currently analyzing CCTV footage to identify those involved and evaluate the event's security effectiveness. Investigators are expected to summon the accused for further questioning to ascertain if additional failures contributed to the situation.

This incident has ignited a dialogue regarding safety measures at celebrity events and the obligations of organizers to prevent crowd-related incidents.
