Olympus, a global leader in MedTech, has opened its new Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) Service Training Centre at Dubai Science Park, part of TECOM Group PJSC. The AED3.7 million (US$1 million) investment aims to support Olympus’ partners in over 33 countries across the META region. The company’s global hubs in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific help provide training and technical support to clients worldwide.
The inauguration was attended by Jun Imanishi, Consul-General of Japan in Dubai; Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior VP of Dubai Science Park; Ronald Boueri, Vice President and Managing Director of Olympus META; and Dr Zeyad Al Moosa, Managing Director of GulfDrug LLC, along with other senior officials.
The new centre will offer hands-on product training, live demonstrations, and technical workshops covering Olympus’ medical and surgical equipment. It also features a state-of-the-art service and repair workshop, along with a spare-parts warehouse, improving supply chain efficiency and supporting hospitals and companies across the region.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi said that establishing a physical presence is key for sustainable growth in the region. He noted that Olympus’ new facility demonstrates its long-term commitment to the region and provides quick responses to evolving market needs. Ronald Boueri added that the centre strengthens Olympus’ ability to deliver top-quality service, technical expertise, and practical training to partners in META, leveraging Dubai Science Park’s infrastructure and global network of businesses and medical experts.
The facility includes two fully equipped training rooms capable of training up to 150 engineers from META partners, helping improve their technical skills and service standards. Dubai Science Park hosts more than 6,500 professionals from life sciences, energy, and environmental sectors, offering a strong ecosystem for collaboration, innovation, and growth.
With this new META Service Training Centre, Olympus aims to enhance regional support, elevate service quality, and provide technical training to engineers and healthcare professionals, solidifying Dubai as a strategic hub for its operations in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa.
