Qatar Swears In 15 New Judicial Experts Across Key Sectors

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Qatar Ministry of Justice on Monday administered the legal oath to 15 new experts, officially adding them to the Ministry's roster of experts accredited before the country's judicial authorities. The registration was completed in accordance with Law No. (16) of 2017, which regulates expert work in Qatar.

The newly appointed experts come from national cadres and represent a wide range of professional disciplines. Their areas of expertise include accounting, real estate, electrical engineering, architecture, survey engineering, banking, industry management, industrial engineering, engineering project management, and social expertise related to disability and autism. The appointments are aimed at strengthening the country's judicial expert system and supporting the growing needs of Qatar's legal sector.

Experts to Assist Judges in Technical Matters

Speaking after the oath-taking ceremony, Abdullah Abu Shahab Al Marri, Director of the Experts Department at the Ministry of Justice, congratulated the new experts and highlighted the significance of their responsibilities.

He said judicial experts play a vital role in assisting judges by providing technical evidence and professional opinions in cases that require specialized knowledge. Their reports help courts examine technical aspects of disputes, speed up legal proceedings, and contribute to the timely issuance of judgments. The ministry emphasized that expert opinions remain an important pillar in ensuring effective justice across the country.

Ministry Continues to Strengthen Qatar's Expert System

The Ministry of Justice reaffirmed its commitment to expanding the national pool of qualified experts through its Experts Department. It said the ministry continues to support highly skilled professionals who can contribute to Qatar's comprehensive development across multiple sectors while meeting the evolving needs of judicial authorities.

The ministry also stated that it is working to build an integrated environment that supports the development of a leading national expertise system. As part of this effort, it will continue introducing new areas of specialization in line with the requirements of courts and other competent authorities.

What Does This Mean for Qatar's Justice System?

The addition of 15 newly accredited judicial experts is expected to strengthen the technical support available to courts across Qatar. By expanding expertise in engineering, finance, real estate, banking, and social services, the Ministry of Justice aims to improve the efficiency of legal proceedings and ensure judges have access to reliable professional assessments in complex cases.

Why Are Judicial Experts Important?

Judicial experts provide independent technical evaluations in cases involving specialized subjects that require professional knowledge beyond legal expertise. Their reports help judges better understand technical issues, enabling faster case resolution and supporting fair and effective judicial decisions.
