EFMS 2025 Launches in Sharjah Showcasing Electric Vehicles

The debut edition of the Evolve Future Mobility Show (EFMS 2025), the Middle East’s first exhibition dedicated to electric and new energy vehicles, opened on Wednesday at Expo Centre Sharjah. The event is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and runs until October 18.

Event Brings Together Industry Leaders

The exhibition gathers leading global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, innovators, and policymakers. It is supported by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and includes participation from key government entities such as the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) and BEEAH Group.

Opening Ceremony Highlights Leadership

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, officially inaugurated the show. The ceremony was attended by Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Waleed AbdelRahman Bukhatir, and other senior officials. Attendees toured various stands showcasing next-generation EV technologies and sustainable transport projects.

Focus on Sustainable Mobility Solutions

Exhibitors presented innovations in electric and hybrid vehicles, EV charging stations, smart mobility systems, and integrated renewable energy solutions. The event aims to promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, and advancements in sustainable transport infrastructure.

Sharjah’s Role in Global EV Market

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais highlighted Sharjah’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. He noted that the EV market is projected to grow rapidly, with global sales expected to exceed 20 million units this year, representing over 25% of new car sales. Estimates indicate that the global EV market may reach USD 1.39 trillion by 2029.

Expo Centre Sharjah Hosts World-Class Event

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa stated that hosting EFMS 2025 reflects Sharjah’s position as a hub for major economic and innovation-driven events. The exhibition brings together over 100 international speakers and experts, along with top companies and government entities in the electric and smart mobility industry.

Highlight on Autonomous Formula 1 Car

A key attraction is the A2RL Autonomous Formula 1 car, the world’s most advanced self-driving sports car. Capable of exceeding 340 km/h, it features advanced perception, decision-making, and control systems. Visitors can also experience an interactive Formula 1 simulator, fully licensed by AMG and certified by the FIA.

International Conference Programme

EFMS 2025 hosts an international conference with over 100 speakers across 20 sessions. Discussions cover government initiatives, EV adoption in fleets, investment opportunities, supply chain challenges, and the future of electric transport.

Exhibition Sectors and Innovations

The show covers over ten sectors including light and heavy-duty EVs, electric bicycles, hydrogen vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, fuel cells, motors, control units, and renewable energy. Leading companies such as ION Mobility, Tesla, OMODA JAECOO, VinFast, and Shanghai Silverstones Automotive display breakthrough innovations.

Promoting Clean Energy and Collaboration

EFMS 2025 supports the global adoption of electric vehicles and clean energy. The exhibition provides a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and partnerships between public and private entities to drive innovation and sustainable growth in the EV sector.
