Datadog Elevates Q4 Forecast Amid Rising AI Cloud Demand

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Datadog is poised for a robust year-end in 2025, predicting earnings for the fourth quarter that comfortably surpass Wall Street forecasts amid a surge in artificial intelligence and cloud technology adaptation.

The cloud monitoring and security firm anticipates revenue ranging from $912 million to $916 million for the last quarter, exceeding analysts’ average expectation of $887.27 million. Adjusted earnings per share are estimated to be between 54 and 56 cents, compared to the consensus estimate of 46 cents.

Following the announcement, Datadog’s stock leapt nearly 10% in premarket trading, adding to the 8.5% increase observed this year. Investors are clearly responding to the heightened interest in the company’s AI-focused monitoring and security solutions, which assist organizations in tracking devices, managing access rights, and ensuring real-time protection for their cloud infrastructures.

In its recent quarterly report, Datadog noted a significant growth trajectory. For Q3, it recorded a revenue of $885.65 million, representing a 28% year-over-year increase and surpassing analyst predictions of $852.78 million. The adjusted earnings per share reached 55 cents, outstripping the expected 47 cents.

Since its inclusion in the S&P 500 in July, Datadog has solidified its presence in the corporate arena, serving significant clients such as Shell, PayPal, and Comcast. Analysts point to the rising embrace of AI alongside ongoing cloud migration as key drivers for the demand for solutions capable of monitoring and securing increasingly intricate IT frameworks.

With a strong pipeline and consistent enterprise adoption, Datadog is well-equipped to harness the potential of AI-fueled cloud growth, bringing optimism for both investors and businesses in need of advanced security solutions.
