Tamannaah Bhatia’s Fitness Coach Explains Why Eating a Little Sugar Every Day Can Actually Help You Stay Fit

Tamannaah Bhatia’s Fitness Coach Explains Why Eating a Little Sugar Every Day Can Actually Help You Stay Fit

Post by : Saif Al-Najjar

Many people believe that eating sugar is bad for health, especially for those who are trying to lose weight. However, celebrity fitness coach Siddhartha Singh, who trains Bollywood star Tamannaah Bhatia, says cutting out sugar completely may not be the best idea. In a recent video shared on Instagram, the coach explained three key reasons why having small amounts of sugar every day can actually help people stay healthy and consistent with their fitness goals.

Siddhartha Singh, who is known for his balanced and practical approach to fitness, said that completely avoiding sugar often leads to cravings and frustration. “When you remove something completely from your diet, your mind wants it even more,” he said. He believes that allowing yourself to have small, controlled amounts of sugar daily can make your fitness journey easier and more enjoyable.

The fitness coach shared three main points behind his advice — consistency, performance and recovery, and sustainability.

1. Consistency helps you stay on track
Siddhartha explained that when people stop eating sugar completely, they often find it hard to stick to their diet for a long time. “When you allow small, controlled sugar daily, you are more likely to stick to your nutrition plan,” he said. Restricting yourself too much can lead to binge eating later, which can harm your progress. Having a little sweet treat each day keeps your mind happy and helps you stay committed to your goals.

2. Sugar helps in performance and recovery
The fitness expert also said that sugar can play a helpful role after workouts. Eating a simple carbohydrate like sugar along with protein helps your body recover faster. It restores the energy your muscles lose during exercise. “Having a banana with your protein shake after your workout is a great idea,” he explained. This mix helps refill the body’s glycogen stores, which improves both recovery and performance during the next workout.

3. Sustainability makes healthy eating easier
According to Siddhartha, fitness is not about short-term diets — it’s about creating habits that you can maintain for life. He said, “Most plans fail because they demand perfection.” When you include a small, controlled amount of sugar daily, it helps make your diet plan more enjoyable and realistic. This way, you don’t feel like you’re missing out on life while staying fit.

The coach also added that people should not feel guilty about eating small portions of sweet foods. “Allowing your brain to enjoy a little sweetness keeps you happy and motivated,” he said.

Siddhartha’s advice challenges the common belief that all sugar is bad. Instead of banning sugar completely, he suggests using moderation as the key. Nutritionists often agree that natural sugars, like those found in fruits, when eaten in balance with a healthy diet, can provide energy without harming fitness goals.

Health experts also remind people to differentiate between natural and processed sugars. Natural sugars from fruits or dairy are healthier compared to added sugars found in sweets, sodas, and packaged foods. Consuming small amounts of natural sugar helps maintain energy levels without the crash that comes from processed sugar.

The fitness coach’s message has gained attention online, especially among people who struggle with diet restrictions. Many fans appreciated his balanced approach, saying it helps them enjoy their meals without feeling guilty.

For those working toward fitness or weight loss, Singh’s advice is simple — moderation is the key. Instead of cutting out sugar completely, learn how to manage it smartly. A little sweetness can make your journey healthier, happier, and more sustainable.
