UAE Launches Pura App: Virtual Mental Health Services Now Available Nationwide

Post by : Saif Al-Najjar

The UAE has taken a major step in mental health care by launching a nationwide virtual mental health service through PureHealth’s AI-powered app, Pura. Residents can now connect with licensed psychologists and psychiatrists from the comfort of their homes, making mental health support more accessible, private, and convenient than ever before.

Virtual Mental Health for Everyone

This service is created in collaboration with SAKINA, the UAE’s largest mental health network. Together, they bring professional expertise and cultural understanding to the digital platform. Through the app, users can book secure online consultations, removing barriers such as privacy concerns, travel time, or busy schedules.

The service is available to all residents, including those covered by Daman insurance, making professional mental health care easier to reach for everyone in the country.

Why This Service Is Important

Mental health challenges are common worldwide. The World Health Organization reports that 1 in 8 people experience a mental health condition at any given time. In the GCC region, up to 80% of cases go undiagnosed, and around 75% of affected people do not seek help.

The Pura app addresses these issues by offering discreet, home-based support. People can now access therapy without fear of judgment, promoting early intervention and better overall wellbeing.

Features of the Pura App

The app is more than just online consultations. It also provides:

Guided Meditations to reduce stress and improve focus.

Self-Help Tools with tips and exercises for managing anxiety, stress, and mood.

Educational Resources to increase awareness about mental health.

Preventive Wellness Programs tailored to individual needs for proactive mental care.

Benefits for Residents

Launching Pura brings multiple advantages:

Quick Access: Schedule appointments anytime without waiting in clinics.

Privacy and Comfort: Attend sessions from home.

Inclusive Services: Licensed mental health professionals available to all residents.

Personalized Care: AI-driven recommendations for mental health programs.

Experts say early access to mental health care can prevent severe conditions, improve quality of life, and support long-term emotional wellbeing.

A Forward-Thinking Approach

By combining technology, professional care, and preventive programs, the UAE is making mental health care modern, inclusive, and effective. The Pura app allows residents to book consultations, explore wellness resources, and strengthen emotional resilience at their own pace.
